The Opteon Graduate Training Program
The professional development and career progression of staff is a key element of Opteon’s current business and is a stated strategy under our business plan.
Opteon firms regularly have staff progressing through to RPV and CPV status.
Our philosophy is that all staff should be encouraged and supported to continuously improve and that professional development programs including the running and facilitation of mock reports and mock exams are fundamental to ensuring staff develop skills at the highest level.
The programs applied by our larger firms address both RPV and CPV qualification as well as further education and specialisation into non-mortgage areas.
Staff wishing to undertake RPV or CPV are given a program showing what they need to achieve in the lead up to examination and who within the organisation is best able to assist them with each key area.
Generally a candidate will not be allowed to sit an exam unless the directors to whom they are responsible are satisfied that they are ready to sit the exam.
Across the Opteon group we have a number of senior valuers who are involved in both admission of members and examination of candidates through participation on various API and RICS committees.
The experience and expertise of these senior valuers will ensure that Opteon continues to set an example around training and development of qualified valuers within the industry.
